Create Project directory

WARNING: This manual includes instructions for this use-case only. If you use other instructions you can cause unwanted functioning of system.

VO MANAGER role needed

• Please log in into the Perun system and then go to the VO Manager section.
• On the left panel please click on Select VO. Now you can see the list of the VOs under your administration.
• Please choose the desired VO, where would you like to create new Project directory. There will appear a new panel with the VO settings.

• at first you need create group for users who can use project directory (see Create group in VO for details)
  • ussual name of group is the same as the name of project
• assign group to resources at choosen Data Storage (see Assign group to resource)
  • resource for Project Directories
  • resource for Home Directories
  • resource Disc_only
  • resource for MailingLists
  • If resources have not beed yet created, you must create them (see Create a Resource) or ask for creating appropriated Facility manager if you have not enough permissions
• you need to set group attributes required for project directory (see Set group attributes)
  • select resource for Project directories from pop-up menu

• • Set following attributes
    • Project name
    • Project owner login
    • Unix group name
    • Project directory permissions, Project hard data quota limit and Project soft data quota are optional

• then you have to check assigned services to resources (see Assign service to resource)
  • services fs_project, group and group_nfs4 to resource for Project Directories

• • • for service fs_project attribute 'Projects base path' is required
  • services fs_home, group, group_nfs4, k5login, passwd, passwd_nfs4, passwd_scp, ssh_keys and du_users_export to resource for Home Directories
  • services fs_home, group, group_nfs4 and du_users_export to resource Disc_only
  • service mailman_meta to resource for MailingLists

Poznámka pod čarou: Aby se výsledek projevil v plné kráse, je třeba počkat na všechny propagace (na poli služby group, group_nfs4, fs_project, na klientech group, případně je popohnat přes Force propagation) a dát NFS nějakou hodinu, aby si toho švimlo a začalo ukazovat nenumerické vlastníky skupin.
