How to ssh from Windows

Metacentrum wiki is deprecated after March 2023 Dear users, due to integration of Metacentrum into https://www.e-infra.cz/en (e-INFRA CZ service), the documentation for users will change format and site. From a PC with OS Windows you can access Metacentrum Linux machines in several ways:

• Built-in SSH client – available as a part of standard installation of Windows 10, version 1809 and higher
• PuTTY – SSH client for Windows, recommended for new users
• Bitvise SSH Client – more sophisticated SSH and SFTP client for Windows for experienced users
• Windows Subsystem for Linux – virtual Linux-like environment for Windows 10
