WARNING: This manual includes instructions for this use-case only. If you use other instructions you can cause unwanted functioning of system.
VO MANAGER role needed
- Please log in into the Perun system and then go to the VO Manager section.
- On the left panel please click on Select VO. Now you can see the list of the VOs under your administration.
- Please choose the desired VO, where would you like to change the data quotas. There will appear a new panel with the VO settings.
- Please click on the Members bookmark.
- Please insert first few letters of the member's name or login into the search field and then click on Search button. Alternatively you can use List all button, which will show you all VO members. This option could be little bit problematic in case of VO with big number of members, selecting could go on very long time.
- Now you can select the member for changing the data quota. Just click on the desired member and there will appear a bookmark with member settings.
- Now please click on the Settings bookmark.
- Please select the resource from the scrolling menu Assigned resources, where would you like to change the quota.
- Now you can set the quotas for selected member. The meaning of each item is described in the table below.
Data limit | It is so called hard quota, it means the limit, which cannot be exceeded. Expected input is with the unit (M,G,T, ...), where G is default. In case you insert this value, then you define an exception compared to global resource settings. |
Data quota | It is so called soft quota, it means the limit, which can be exceeded for short time. A member will be notified in case he has exceeded this limit. Expected input is with the unit (M,G,T, ...), where G is default. In case you insert this value, then you define an exception compared to global resource settings. |
Files limit | Hard quota defines maximal count of the files, which can be uploaded by a member. In case you insert this value, then you define an exception compared to global resource settings. |
Files quota | Soft quota defines maximal count of the files, which can be uploaded by a member. In case you insert this value, then you define an exception compared to global resource settings. |
Notice: All changes made in the Perun system will be active in one hour. Thus executed changes are not immediate!!!.
