Ansys (JČU)
Description
ANSYS is program package based on finite number method and serves for solving large linear and nonlinear (psysically or geometrically) jobs several different cathegories: structural, thermal, thermal – mechanical, electromagnetical, acustic etc. Part of package is also ANSYS LS-DYNA, software package for explicit non linear structural simulations.
FLUENT is the CFD solver of choice for complex solving problems from flows, heat transfer and burning. The wealth of physical models in FLUENT allows you to accurately predict laminar and turbulent flows, various modes of heat transfer, chemical reactions, multiphase flows, and other phenomena with complete mesh flexibility and solution-based mesh adaption. Program provides 2D planar, 2D axisymmetric, 2D axisymmetric with swirl, and 3D flows analyse of problem and results visualization. Availability
- Modul fluent61 for version FLUENT 6.1.22. Modul fluent13 for version FLUENT 13.
- Modul ansys71 for version ANSYS 7.1, LS-DYNA 960.e71
Use
- Fluent can be run in MetaCentrum enviroment after connecting particular module by command "ansys71" nebo "tansys71", resp. "lsdyna71". Computing enviroment of MetaCentrum serves primary for proceeding sophisticated computings (preprocessing and postprocesing can run in the user workstation). Several use cases with Fluent ilustrate commneted scripts for PBS.(Section is under construction.

Licence
- Product is licenced for students and employees of ZČU in Plzeň. There are pool 30 flowing licences available, from this amount you can use each program package: fluent max 30 licences, gambit max 10 licences, trigrid max 30 licences, fidap max 2 licences. Number of licences, which are temporary available for use to run PBS job you can find with typping command "qfree -i".
- Product is licenced for students and employees of ZČU in Plzeň. There are 25 flowing licences available and also supplied by 3 program LS-DYNA licences. Number of licences, which are temporary available for use to run PBS job you can find with typping command "qfree -i".
Maintenance
Annual rent of software is payed from resources of ZČU in Plzeň.

All UNIXové platforms and MS Windows, in METACentrum there are ANSYS installed for platform Linux_ia32.
